PG Booth Settings

All the DIY Photo Booth settings you could possible want in a DIY Photo Booth App.

Exporting and Importing your custom DIY photo booth app settings

  1. Customize your settings to your liking on any iOS device running PG Booth
  2. Export those settings to iCloud Drive
  3. On another iOS device with the Photo Booth app installed, go to settings and import the previously saved settings file from iCloud Drive.

Basic Settings

Basic settings list

Continuous Photo Booth
If on, the photo booth app will auto re-start once its started once.
Number of seconds before starting the photo booth again
If continuous photo booth is turned on. This is the number of seconds before the booth starts again.
Number of seconds between shots
This is the number of seconds you would like to wait between each shot taken in the photo booth.
intro countdown
Seconds before photo booth starts taking pictures.
Seconds between shots
Seconds before the photo booth starts.
Show back button from the photo booth
If on, the photo booth view will show the back button circle in the lower left corner of the booth. If off, the photo booth will not show the back button.
Back button alpha
This will allow the button to be see-through or not. 100% means you can not see behind it. 10% would mean you can barely see it.
3 finger Swipe out of booth
3 finger swipe out of the photo booth is just what it sounds like. Swipe left to right and leave the booth. This is helpful if you have the back button hidden and want a 'secret' way to leave the photo booth app.
Hide buttons when tap top of booth
When on, you can tap the very top of the running photo booth and all the interface buttons will disappear. Tap again, and they re-appear. If you not using the "Tap to start" setting, you can tap anywhere on the photo booth.
Show the Tap To Start text on the photo booth
If on, this setting will display the text 'tap to start booth' on top of the camera view in the photo booth.
Show start button on booth
Shows a start button at the bottom of the running photo booth. Need to have this or 'show tap to start' showing to have users be able to start the photo booth.
Show settings button on running booth.
When this is on, you can access the apps basic settings from the running photo booth.
Show / Hide layouts button
This can Show / Hide the different photo strips layouts button on running booth. If showing, you can change the layout of the photo strips on the fly.
use voice
Photo booth uses a voice to countdown.
use beep
Photo booth uses a beeps to countdown.
Show countdown
This will show countdown text on top of the photo booth
Countdown number text color
Change the color of the countdown, if showing.
Show large text showing photos left
This will the number of photos left to take on top of the photo booth. For example: "3 to go" , "2 to go" ...
Photos left message text color.
Change the color of the photos left message, if showing.
Shows small info bar
Show info bar text that contains the progress of the booth.
Play effect when booth complete
Plays a short audio effect when booth is complete.
Send Live Feed

This setting , when turned on, will send a constant feed to the connected remotes. If the connected remotes have show live feed turned on they will see whats always happening on the running booth.

Using this setting will increase the load on the device. It will use a lot more CPU and Memory and therefore will also reduce battery life. So just keep that in mind:)

Enable Remote
Allow remote connections. Turn off to not allow other devices to connect to the booth
Booth name
Booth name, which shows on other devices. You should change this if you want more than 1 booth running on the same wifi. Only one Booth Name works per network.
Default Camera
This allows you to pre-select what camera will be used when the booth starts.
Allow Switching Camera
If on, you can switch cameras from the booth. If off, you can not.
Auto Dismiss Photo Strip
When this Photo Booth setting is on the photo strips that appear once the booth has completed running auto hides and returns you back to the booth. If users interact with the photo booth photo strip, the photo booth photo strip will not dismiss until they stop and the auto-dismiss time has passed.
Auto Dismiss After Time
This is the number of seconds that have to pass before the photo booths photo strip view is dismissed. This time only starts when users are not interacting with the photo strip on screen.

Photo Quality
Quality - good, gooder, goodest
Gif Animation Image Delay
When using the photo booth app to take gif images this is the number of seconds between each photo animation transition.
Number of time to loop Gif
Set this to 0 for the photo booth app gifs taken to loop forever. Otherwise, set it to the number of times you want the photo booth gifs to loop.
Force to Size
If this is turned on and a value is set, the photo booth app will ignore any other settings and force the generated photo strip to be the size set here. Be sure to test this and make sure you get the desired output.
Create Black & White
If the photo booth apps "force to size" setting is on, you can also set the PPI. This will set the PPI of the image and then force the size after. Again, please test if you turn this photo booth setting on.
Strip background scaling
This photo booth app setting lets you choose how you want the background of the photo strip to be scaled.
Photo Quality
Quality - good, gooder, goodest.

good, on an iPhone 7 is aprox. 420x540 or 540x420

gooder, on an iPhone 7 is aprox. 1140x1980 or 1980x1140

goodest, on an iPhone 7 is aprox. 3084x4092 or 4092x3084

Create Black & White
turn on if you want the output strip to be black and white.
Show strip once done
turn on if you want the strip to show on screen once completed
Auto save strips to camera app
Will auto-save Strips to photos and this app.
save individual photos
Will auto-save each photo to photos
Photo Strip Border Size
border size around photo strip
Title for photo strip

This may get overriden depending on space.

Color of the title on the strip ( if a title exists )

Show Background Image
show a background image. If an image is set.

If image is correct size this will cover the background and border.
Show Bottom Image on Photo Strip
Will only show if an image is also selected for bottom image.
Photo Strip Top Image
Will add an image to top of strip.
Bottom Image Alignment
Will allow you to set the top image to left, center, or right alignment.
Bottom Image Scale
Will allow you to scale the bottom image you uploaded.
Bottom image left offset
Will move the image to the right.
Bottom image top offset
Will move the image down.
Bottom image right offset
Will move the image left.
Bottom image bottom offset
Will move the up.
Make space below strip for image
if false, your image/logo can overlap bottom image(s).
Show Top Image on Photo Strip
Will only show if an image is also selected for top image.
Top Image Alignment
Will allow you to set the top image to left, center, or right alignment.
Top Image Scale
Will allow you to scale the top image you uploaded.
Top image left offset
Will move the image to the right.
Top image top offset
Will move the image down.
Top image right offset
Will move the image left.
Top image bottom offset
Will move the up.

Show Layout Options
Show layout options on the wifi photo booth remote view. This will allow you to start the running photo booth app with a specific photo strip.

Sometimes you want the image on the remote to show in reverse of the way its received.

Show the photo booth app your connected to
Show start button
If on, will show the start button on the photo booth remote view. Requires the Wifi connection to a running PG Booth photo booth app.
Press anywhere to start
If on, will allow starting by pressing anywhere in the photo booth remote view. Requires the Wifi connection to a running PG Booth photo booth app.

Slide Show Settings

Slide show background color
Color of the background of the diy photo booth app slide show.
Allow editing
This allows to tap and delete photos from the diy photo booth app slide show.
Slide show timer
This sets the time between each photo in the diy photo booth app slide show.

Font Settings

Color for text
text color of most text within remote and booth views
font name
font for of most text within remote and booth views

Printer Settings

Current Printer
Pre-select a printer to use. This allows for skipping the annoying printer settings pop-up when you print. If the pre-set printer is no longer available, please remove it using the remove button. If this option is not set, you will just get the default printer dialog when printing.
Preferred Print Size
This allows you to pre-select a print size ( if your printer allows for options ). This does not mean it will print this exact size, but PG Booth will tell iOS it wants to be this size and iOS talks to the printer to get as close to this as possible in the paper options.
Add two images to printing
This will add two strips to the printed page. Users had requested that they would like to have a single strip printed twice on page. This option, when turned on, will allow this.
